My name is Emil, your dedicated Transylvania tour guide.
I am the owner of a tourism manager diploma due to my long working experience in Hospitality, in Romania, U.S.A and UK.
I would love to show you the most beautiful places in Transylvania , places that will stun you with their authentic beauty. Let me discover you the real authenticity of Transylvania and the way people can still coexist with nature. Let me introduce you to real people in whose eyes you can still see the liberty and the joy of living in harmony with surroundings landscapes .
In my opinion the richness of these lands stands in the bond made between human and nature, in its people whose culture resisted in time due to its strong roots and believes, in its history that can be transcended in the walls of medieval cities of Sibiu, Brasov, Alba Iulia and Sighisoara .
I was born in Transylvania, in a multi-ethnic family with many of my relatives speaking different languages and attending to different churches and this helped me to discover the real charm of Transylvania.
I believe that you miss the essential of Transylvania if you did not visit the saxon villages with their remarkable fortified church, the great sequely farms or the old romanian villages with their great traditions . When visiting these places you need to blend yourself with locals, taste a glass of wine or a home made bread with local jam to be able to feel how lucky we all are to breath the fresh air of Transylvania villages and to listen to the quite of secular forest. Also when visiting one of the most beautiful cities in Europe ( Sibiu, my home for the last 15 years) take some time to see the sunset over the old border of Western Europe : Olt river and the Fagaras mountains . What a beautiful and also important place for the history of Europe this border was !!?!
If you know how to look at it, Transylvania is a heaven on Earth. And this is also the way Prince of Wales see it :
“It seems to me that in Transylvania there is a combination of the natural ecosystem with a human cultural system”. “This extraordinarily unique integrated relationship is so hugely important. People are yearning for that sense of belonging and identity and meaning.”
